I don't know anything but I can look it up.
Kicked off dot social for mentioning an uncomfortable truth about Israel.
Be warned, possums make me smile.

#TrevorPhillips asks the Deputy Foreign Minister of Israel, Sharren Haskel, "Why won't #israel allow independent reporting from #Gaza?"

SH "We can not take the responsibility. .. it's already a war zone .... "

TP "Many of my colleagues and I myself have reported from war zones. We take that risk."

SH "But you must know that if anything happened to these reporters, Israel will be blamed"

Y'all remember the Marsh family? They do those adorable, funny little songs taking the piss out of stuff?
They did one about Gaza.
Get some tissues.

I have to go to bed, but before I go, I'd like to share with you this random cute dog I met over the weekend.

Speaking of bed, I haven't woken myself up with my own laughter in a while. Do you guys do that? Happens to me once every couple of months or so, and I reckon it's pretty terrific. I remember I woke up laughing hysterically once from a dream where Donald Rumsfeld was eating chicken wings and singing the blues. Anyway, goodnight from Wollongong!

Good morning!
Good Sunday!

Met some friends this morning. 🦃🦃

@Edent That might be true, but the reverse is also true. Voice messages for example are easy and quick for the sender, but a serious hassel to parse and understand for the person recieving. Regardless of the level of literacy, it is quite rude to push the effort onto the recieving end to make it a bit more convenient for yourself.
If you've ever spent any time searching for ISO/CEN-type standards in development for examination or accountability, even with privileged university access, the illegitimacy of this entire regime is more than clear. Proprietary standards de facto mandated by law are unethical. Tear it down.

I recently did a rewatch of Brazil with my partner - the first time watching for her - and, fuck, this film could never get made today, if only because so much of it hits so close to home. like, I'm seriously expecting the whole "getting arrested and then being sold a payment plan and insurance to cover your detention expenses" thing to become reality any day now.

Four years of college shouldn’t be the only gateway to the middle class https://robertreich.substack.com/p/four-years-of-college-shouldnt-be?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=mastodon

@rbreich did you mean upper working class or middle income working class?

Because you’re not talking about the middle class.

@Colman @rbreich “there. We fixed it.”
