I'd love to be able to focus more on energy and climate here. However, there's a war raging three countries down the road, our traditional ally is turning against us, and democracy is at risk.
And all of that has major impact on energy and climate too.

There it is folks, Everett LNG Marine Terminal (EMT) WON’T be closing, at least not for 6 more years.

No, it’s not dead yet, but now it will be up to gas ratepayers to pay to keep it on life support.

Is it worth postponing the inevitable?

Mystic Generating Station closes May 31. Mystic is the Everett LNG Marine Terminal's (EMT) largest customer. If EMT can't find counterparties for firm contracts to buy its LNG, EMT will also be shuttered. That would be a tectonic shift for New England's energy system. Stay tuned.

The significance of V2G deployment, by an EV manufacturer committed to deploying it, @PolestarCars. EVs could satisfy short-term grid storage demand by 2030.

Once parked cars are monetized V2G will become a standard feature expected by EV owners.

The biggest obstacle to V2G IMO? Electric utilities.

Millstone 3’s last scheduled outage began 10/20/23. It returned to service 12/10/23. Scarcely a month later it was offline again.
