The app has been updated. I discovered that the Heian Godan (initially done by AI) was much more like (maybe) Shotokan SKIF, and not #Shotokan #JKA. It has now been much improved. As always, comments etc. are welcome.

Are there any #jka #shotokan #japanese #nihongo knowledgeable here? I am correcting my Heian Godan description, and have come across "juji uke" vs "kosa uke" in step 8. Which term should I use? (And why).

@joel I am not aware of an official JKA belt colouring standard. I have found these references: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obi_(martial_arts) and http://www.columbia.edu/cu/jka/beltrankings.html which do not include blue.

The app does have support for a yellow belt, but no kata is required to gain 9th kyū?
