I'm currently having the honour and pleasure of working on the personal website https://gilest.org created by @gilest . Before I started work on the site I thought I'd run it through Core Web Vitals and was stunned by the results. This simple, handcrafted website, built over decades, performs in a way that most contemporary web developers would die for. HTML and CSS, words and pictures, just left to do their work. There's a lesson here, right? Huge respect to Giles...
