Decided to do a bard with a single level as a knowledge bard of selune for Shadowheart's romance. Bard is just more fun because of all the skill bonuses, and unlike the Pathfinder games, the spells are genuinely useful here due to enemy saves not being so busted.

Bard also gets the most fun dialog options.

Oh and I'm The Dark Urge and a half-drow so there's an extra layer of weirdness here trying to be a flamboyant hero.

Baldur's Gate 3 feels easier than before. Did they tone down the difficulty in a patch or is this just the karma dice thing turning down fail rolls? I didn't change much off the balanced difficulty so I'm surprised how much smoother the early game is right now.

Guess I'll see how long that lasts once I meet the gnolls.

@Video_Game_King @samkeeper God just skimming that gave me flashbacks to recent discourse of weird racist europeans following a weird racist european cosplaying as vaguely latin calling a black man a nazi dogwhistle level slur and then demanding a debate with another black man over it during a charity stream

Why are white "leftists" like this

My yuri visual novel Bittersweet Blossoms, the sequel to Blackberry Honey, has now been released!
Return to Bly once more with Dot as she meets (and maybe falls for) the snippy, sharp-tongued Lady Patience ❤️ ✨

Ah I see GTA6 is 80 bucks before the necessary DLC purchases. I hate big budget games so much.
The amount of people over complicating the process of knocking her out, specifically because resting might wake her up somehow and break quests and thus a chance to recruit her 30 hours later, is fucking insane. You have designed something badly if you're forcing gamers to metagame this desperately out of founded paranoia.

Look up how people talk about recruiting Mithera in BG3 if you want a good example of how sometimes the simple solution in game design is the best option.

I get the initial intent was to make her exclusive to an evil playthrough initially but also what the fuck did you think people were going to do when you offered a drow baddie? Of course they were going to exploit the hell out of your needlessly complicated systems! Just use basic event flags when you patch her as viable!

old man rant done, I'll go back to the old man spy game tomorrow maybe

The Pathfinder games aren't even considered a high bar for writing in this genre but they run laps around BG3 in terms of character complexity and theme work, even Kingmaker.

I don't want to discredit everything it does, there's some very strong character stories here, but it's a very lopsided package.
