I am presently riding a very fast train
And I made it to Seattle!
Unfortunately we entered a wildfire smoke area around lunch and the ventilation had to be shut off
From sunrise today in NorCal/southern Oregon there were some excellent vistas. I even saw two bald eagles in the wetlands near Klamath Falls (not pictured)
Later in the day we went inland which held its own delights
Some pics from close to SB
I'm taking the Amtrak Coast Starlight to Seattle starting today! I've been wanting to travel this whole route for about 15 years so I'm glad to finally decide to do it. To date I've done between SB and San Jose several times and between Eugene and Seattle once. Will post some pics as I go. Starting out at Santa Barbara train station and should arrive tomorrow evening.

(See Voidy letting Vickie do the hard work)

Our evaluation covers three diverse scenarios: in-kernel page reclaim, PyPy JIT tuning, and hardware transactional lock elision, giving performance comparable to/better than the state of the art heuristics
