I've been in and out of information security professionally, but somehow always have related projects. Mainly working with zeek and network level detection at the moment. SDR, cycling, and climbing enthusiast.

I boost a lot. Topics range far and wide from security and "the cybers" and may include politics, food, humor, science, law, nature, art, and other sundry unsavories. I occasionally post my own projects and thoughts.

As oil companies push for drilling on the Amazon coast, an underwater war silences the ocean’s most vocal creatures.

Petrobras has been conducting surveys since 2013 using seismic airgun blasts that can destabilize marine ecosystems by interrupting essential communication in the marine food chain.

When you know what the US has been about this whole time, that really puts the current moment in perspective. We've been up to some ugly, ugly stuff. And it usually gets either silence or applause. 2025 is a whole different animal. The response has been strong and immediate. We had *preemptive* mass mobilization. By millions of people who *aren't* being targeted by raids, jailing, and deportation. (Yet. 🙃) That's never happened in US history before. This is different.

I've seen this interview making the rounds lately, and I think it's a spot-on take on the kinds of "agentic AI" being pitched today.

"There's a profound issue with security and privacy that is haunting this hype around agents and that is ultimately threatening to break the blood-brain barrier between the application layer and the OS layer" 💯

@aj We think we're so clever outsmarting the bots and scrapers, but the joke's on us if we all get trained to walk around prefacing everything we say online with a string of inane and unlikely word combos -- basically bullshit -- to keep the machines from spewing it.

Anyone else super annoyed trying to reorganize firefox tabs and having them "grouped" together, or just me?

Pentagon may put SpaceX at the center of a sensor-to-shooter targeting network
Under this plan, SpaceX's satellites would play a big role in the Space Force's kill chain.

I've got the folding bike frame all stripped and ready for truck bed liner. But first, i have to go get some supplies
I've got everything hung up in preparation for painting and it feels like I'm trying to ward off evil bike spirits from entering my home
@MLE_online a warning to any and all spectral bikes.
@MLE_online burn some grease and chant Tullio Campagnolo's name a few times just in case it works
@MLE_online solid plan, though.
@MLE_online no bike will dare to leave mud trails in your hallway now 👍
@MLE_online No tarp to protect the house from overspray? You’re living a dangerous life!

What was your technique? Grinder and a flap wheel? Magical mix of chemicals? Media blasting?
@MLE_online I want to print this photo and frame it for my workshop.
