WWDCIndex now has search.

My cofounder Tom maintains WWDCIndex — an unofficial index of every WWDC session Apple has ever held. That's 3,700+ talks going back to the year 2000, including many that are no longer available on Apples Developer website.

Until now, finding a session about a specific API meant CMD+F through one long page. Now you can just search. Big quality of life improvement if you regularly dig through WWDC history to find talks on specific topics.

See https://wwdcindex.com/

WWDC Index

https://wwdcindex.com has transcripts for 3719 WWDC sessions since the year 2000.

I've just cleaned up a bunch of transcription errors in the earlier years. Now there no longer are thousands of known transcription errors. Only unknown ones :)

WWDC Index
Added some improvements to WWDC Index. It now shows chapters, and you can link to a specific timecode in a video.
For example this session video, where Apple doesn’t provide its own chapters. https://nonstrict.eu/wwdcindex/meet-with-apple/207/?t=16176

next: The Pocket Guide to Debugging

I wrote this because my brother was learning to program, I wanted to recommend a guide to debugging to him, but I couldn't find one.

It's a mix of practical tips ("see if you can find an old version of the code that works!") and ways to manage all of the FEELINGS that come up while debugging.

We've created a site that lists transcriptions for all 3550 WWDC sessions for the past 25 years.

The modern session transcriptions are sourced from Apple. The older session transcriptions are generated using Whisper.

Many of the older sessions are still relevant today. For example we are working on adding Full Screen support to our Mac app, some session from 2011 and 2015 are still super useful.

Check it out at: https://nonstrict.eu/wwdcindex/

@mario I'm a little behind on mastodon the past few weeks but have you seen Asura (阿修羅のごとく) on netflix? A tv series by Kore-eda that was added January 9th and it is GREAT, at least going by the first two episodes. The story centers on four adult sisters and their parents, and the relationships all of them have. The acting is so, so great and there's this wonderful mix of deep story lines and humor. Would add to your watch queue for when you have time.

This was my tenth(!) year building 25 days of puzzles for #AdventOfCode. You can solve them all for free! Most people write code to solve them, but you can solve them however you like. I hope they help people become better programmers. 🌟

The first puzzle comes out in two hours: https://adventofcode.com/

We, the anonymous editors of the Stallman report, have published our investigation of Richard Stallman and the Free Software Foundation today to a general audience:

https://stallman-report.org

Our report exhaustively catalogues, analyzes, and offers a rebuttal of Richard Stallman's political program of sexual violence, catalogues credible allegations of misconduct, and documents the misconduct of the #FSF circa 2019 and 2021. Please read and share our work.

Boosts encouraged.
