This is sort of the opposite of the old saw: the fish rots from the head down.
Churches and unions are great examples of organisations who tell themselves stories about their high-minded ideals and intents and thereby create cover for them to screw up a lot at the coal face. Whereas a cigarette company knows it is shit and therefore has to treat employees right, pay its taxes, submit to audits, etc.
@danielbowen no comment daniel !!!
Reading this terrific story on tennis match-fixing while also watching a women's match with a very topsy-turvy scoreline: making me suspicious! https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/interactive/2023/tennis-match-fixing-itf-grigor-sargsyan/?itid=lk_inline_enhanced-template #usopen #usopen2023

Since working from home my dental hygiene is worse. Leaving the house was my cue to brush my teeth in the morning; now I don't always do a morning brush. Anyone else?

@timrichards Hopefully this is the last time we have to save the Tote. Tote should hire a decent cook, install a good menu and book some good bands. it's too grimy for its rapidly gentrifying suburb but gentrification doesn' mean you can't have punters come and see bands, just ask the espy and the prince.
@calbearo @tennis Fritz is a mirage on the horizon in the desert of US men's tennis. Some of the others, maybe. Tiafoe could contend in tournaments Alcaraz isn't at. Shelton perhaps. Fritz? no.
