How much would it cost to get a flagpole put in the front yard? because someone in my neighbourhood has one and I'm wondering what the tax on being *that* gauche is.

This is going to sound weird but it really hit me watching the coronation of King Charles. There were kids all over the shop in that ceremony. They had roles. But you don't see kids in the inauguration of a President or the start of a new Parliament.
Since I became a dad I notice far more how absent children are from a lot of parts of public life. Their lives are hermetically sealed off from "the real world". We get streets, they get playgrounds.
