Type designer at
 ivyfoundry.com

We just did a major redesign and reengineering for the e-commerce experience on Ivy Foundry’s website. This was a huge undertaking led by Persa Zula and will shape the future of font purchasing across all our sites.

You can view it live at https://ivyfoundry.com/ (and maybe license some fonts, they are good!)

Thanks for the input and support from the whole team: @bram, Dave Gutierrez, Ivan Ukhov, and @tylersticka

Over the past seven days, we published Uses submitted by a whopping sixty (60!) different contributors. https://fontsinuse.com

The projects show typographic designs made in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Morocco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, South Korea, Switzerland, the UK, and the US.

Typefaces that were featured for the first time include:
Befoil, Bootzy TM, Chardon, Conman, Faro, ATF Franklin Gothic, Helion, AF Leiter, Leticea Bumstead, Mastadoni, Mont-Saint-Michel, Parkinsans, Phanitalian (c.1872!), Ramboia, FF Reminga, TT Rationalist, Sundose, Supercooper, Tuborg Grotesque & Serif, and West Cooper Nouveau.

A big thanks to our diverse community. We ❤️ you!

Ready for last episode of Slow Horses on Apple Plus. Most brilliant show this year in my oppinion.
Also, I got the same socks as Gary Oldman
I have started to do ceramics with my wife. It is quite fun, but it seems like I can't let go of type design even when getting my hands dirty with clay.

To the lighthouse.

Fishing with my son.
All I caught was this magnetic sky.

I am in Antwerp. Can see the Plantin Museum from our appartment.
A bit odd, but quite nice looking /ae from an 1929 add.

Type Network Update

Hello, I wanted to share a few updates from Type Network.

So far this year Type Network has been joined by more than 20 new foundry partners. We focus on the best fonts from the world's top designers, and our roster continues to include many of the most talented and celebrated in the world.

These include TypeTogether, Paratype, Identity Letters, Leinster Type, Altertype, Character Type, exljbris, Signal Type Foundry, Swell Type, Hamilton Wood Type, Herzberg Design, Comicraft, and Nova Type. We've also added these TTF foundries: P22, Lanston Type Co, My Creative Land, Typesenses, Midwest Type, XO Type, and Josh Ownby.

About 20 more foundries have agreed to join TN and are currently moving through the onboarding process.

In the first quarter of 2024 we paid out more in royalties to our foundry partners than in any prior quarter in our history. That excludes Font Bureau fonts, which accounted for less than 5% of last quarter's royalties. That will go to zero next quarter as we end our relationship with Monotype.

Our other foundry partners earned just shy of $1 Million -- about 20% higher than our next-best quarter ever.

Our partnership with Adobe Fonts contributed a bit less than half of that. The fastest-growing segment is enterprise sales, including $100,000+ in sales of fonts from foundries who joined TN in the current or prior quarter.

If you'd like to consider a partnership with Type Network, let's talk. We can start out by handling a single enterprise transaction for you, then take it from there. Type Network does not require any long-term commitment from foundry partners.

Most of our team will be at Typographics in NYC next week. If you're interested in meeting up, drop me a line - matthew at typenetwork dot com. I'd love to meet up.

See you soon!
