Good morning to readers. Hello from Ukraine.
Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands, but a barrage of missile strikes plunged much of the city into darkness over the last twenty four hours.
Forecast calls for a low of 24 degrees F in the capital tonight.

I’m re-watching “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” on a cold Canadian Saturday night and I must say - I don’t think Indiana is a very good archaeologist. He just bashed through the parquet stone floor of a church in Venice, tossed aside skeletons and clothes in a mausoleum and isn’t documenting anything.
Does anyone have examples of an excellent online legislative library - documents, video, etc? I’m looking for models that are searchable user friendly for average citizens. (I’m seeing quite a few average ones, nothing better than that).

It worked! I found 150 twitter follows on Mastodon with https://fedifinder.glitch.me/ . It's pretty straight forward.

Click "Authorize to Extract Accounts"
Choose "Scan Followings" or "Scan Followers"
It will create a file for download.
Then open your Mastodon account (I'm on .world so don't know if all are same) Preferences > Import & Export > Import.
Click "Merge" (so you don't lose your currents Follow list) then "Choose File" and upload the Fedifinder list.

Good luck.

I THINK SOMEBODY JUST FEDERATED MY TOOT
Anyone have recommendations for a “learn to code” app for kid age 7? Tried some and daughter seems into the freebie ones quickly, so looking for a good option before I buy one
I'm loving this idea: major public broadcasters like the CBC (in Canada), BBC, NPR, etc would open Mastodon servers to enable content users to publish - a whole new social media engagement. It also allows them to escape their overreliance on Facebook and Twitter. Over time we users could rely on a common set of high standards and longevity. What do you think? https://theconversation.com/canadas-public-broadcaster-should-use-mastodon-to-provide-a-social-media-service-194116
Canada’s public broadcaster should use Mastodon to provide a social media service

With Twitter users considering a relocation to the decentralized social media network Mastodon, there’s an opportunity for the CBC to lead the way in re-imagining online futures for Canadians.

Good luck today USA. The eyes of the world are on you. As a Quebec colleague used to say, “Thre US goes a little crazy but they always find their way back”.

I want to echo what other Mastodon admins are saying: please report any harassment or violative messages you're seeing. Unlike the birdsite, your local admin will likely react quickly -- and you'll make the instance better for everyone, not just yourself.

So... please don't just ignore! Let us know if there's a problem.
