@philsherry The peppiness was killing me. My agents file now tells him to have a sardonic wit and to ask more questions at any opportunity, rather than marching ahead without any clue. We're quite far away from our jobs being in danger just yet

@coldclimate Your adventure over the last few days has convinced me that buying a new laptop was the right choice. Although I enjoy messing around with Linux and getting it to work for desktop, it still sounds disproportionately more difficult than it should be
