This is still pure WebGPU browser API, which has been instructive. That said, @cabanier at Meta started a three.js branch to add WebGPU + WebXR bindings that I hope to test soon - their library of samples would speed up prototyping greatly.

More #WebGPU + #WebXR tourism in Apple Vision Pro M5: this time the Sponza clustered lighting demo by @tojiro with added eye-tracking-based teleport & interaction
It's funny that 12 real-time lights feels like an absurd futurist luxury as an XR dev. But this is a budget I can actually manage, compared with the paltry 1-3 you can squeeze out of XR2 series headsets
My #WebXR + #WebGPU demo got picked up by 80 Level! More to come, especially as three.js adds support

Sheesh. The 3D web thing that I and my team are making rn is among the coolest, most original and most useful things we’ve yet created and it launches in February to an in-person audience of 3 million guests per year. I look forward to talking about it soon!
Sadly it’s not XR and I won’t have another WebXR title out this year (GotY three-peat quashed 😢). However I have decided on my next independent WebXR title, and I’m aiming for Q2 2025. Hint: it’s a comedy puzzle game. Announcement soon 📣 😊
🤏 Escape Artist now supports Apple Vision Pro's gaze-and-pinch `transient-pointer` input for teleport - it's so nice - and all stability issues have been resolved in visionOS 2.0 alongside the mainstream release of WebXR 🙌
The game is truly cross-platform and multi-modal now
