โShouting โself-careโ at people who actually need community care is how we fail people.โ

Find the peace in small changes. Forget the incessant voices telling you you're not good enough yet, and find a way to bask in the tiny things you'll do a little better today. There is peace in realising that whether you moved a thousand miles, or just one step, you still moved forwards. And on most days that's enough.
We're taught that bravery requires big, heroic acts. It doesn't. It's any step you take which requires you to go outside of your comfort zone. When you're trying something new, small acts of bravery are the only way you move forwards, how we improve and how we grow.
What do my overreactions say about what I fear most?
Our greatest happiness comes when we stop trying to be anything other than the truest version of ourselves.
Consider the energy you expend worrying about whether youโre heading in the right direction, or doing the right things with your life. Now imagine what you might do with that energy if you knew, resolutely, you were heading in the right direction.
We will run ourselves into the ground simply to win the imaginary award for busyness - then wear it as a badge of honour to justify our meaning in the world.
