The extortionists at Xero decide to help themselves to another $120 from my business, safe in the knowledge that it's almost impossible to move from them.

They put the price up $60 last year; $108 the year before; $72 the year before that; $60 the year before that.

And… not only have I found the owner of the keys (and therefore car), they have given me a BMW of my very own.

I’ve always wanted to drive a BMW, and today is my lucky day - I’ve just found these keys in #Bardon #Brisbane QLD 4065. Sadly, can’t find the car though - I’ve looked!

Tomorrow I guess I’ll take them to Brisbane BMW? They should be able to hunt down the driver, I’m guessing, from the key (which I imagine has some form of pairing with the car itself)? Or what else should I do? Would anyone go to the police for lost property?

This aluminium can is wrapped with plastic. The company greenwashes us here saying it’s “neutralised”, but this plastic makes it harder to recycle the aluminium, surely?

Last week, I visited Government House in #Brisbane - where the Governor of #Queensland lives. Fancy building; mostly (but not completely) just ceremonial, but clearly a fancy dinner here is a good way to thank people doing good things.

Earlier today - to Fort Lytton National Park in #Brisbane - built and used between 1880-1945, including a “disappearing gun”. Empty, quiet but impressive structures; with a museum (which was a little junk shop-like) staffed by a number of old male volunteers. Worth a visit (though the Ampol oil refinery next door is noisy and smelly).
