@marcoroth yeah, that makes perfect sense, but just to confirm... which flickering and redraw issues are you talking about? I didn't dig into the code yet, but as I said, I want to give it a shot. what do you think about circling back to this in about a week so we can see where I am with it?

TIL: should I use single or double quotes in git commit messages?

both works fine, but go for the single quotes; double quotes might trigger "command substitution" on unix-like systems

for example:

```bash
$ echo "`ls`"

./docs/
./node_modules/
./package-lock.json
./package.json
./pages/
./README.md
```
