So the rule was, if there's a dog, you should be able to pet it. And this got dumbed down to, you should add a dog so it can get pet. No, you misunderstood. The point is your interactions should reflect the reality of the game space; it's bigger than dogs, it's about whatever populates the environment. If there's a couch, you should be able to sit on it. If there's a light switch you should get to flick it. Anyway if you equip a hat in Death Stranding 2 you get a choice

Another bookstore pulls JK Rowling's books and returns them, after Rowling promised to.use the profits from .sales of Harry Potter books to harass and attack trans people.

Throw them out, build the boycott of Rowling products, books movies.

@kevinrns @sufferforme Diane Duane wrote 9 Wizard novels. Book 3 came out the same year as HP and the Philosopher's Stone. They work in a universe where Magic has a price instead of violating the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.

Get it at the library, just don't add to her war chest by buying one.

@kevinrns @atlovato Sadly burning a lib. book would a) result in you getting fined, but importantly, b) result in the lib. replacing the book with a new copy.

If anything ppl that feel they must read HP for w/e reason, should be supported reading it via the lib., beyond that if you must violate HP books at the lib, just scribble a note about jojo being a transphobic swine in the space above chapter headings - so the lib *prob* won't consider it damaged enough to replace, but it'll send a msg.

Knowing what is in the heart of someone who is hateful doesn't spawn new Fascists, but what does is the senseless choice to put it into practice. Fascists burn books, bud.

Libraries should keep it. And used Bookstores. Because (in the US anyway) JK Rowling doesn't make a dime off of rentals or second hand sales. If someone doesn't want her to profit but grew up reading Harry Potter and misses them, they can get a copy that way.

@Ember If they have never stocked it, they must be young bookshops. I was a queer kid in the 90's and felt represented when I read HP when it first came out. I bonded with friends over reading the same book, which was an absolute novelty back then. There was a time before JKR fell from grace when queer folks loved the books. And I'm still kinda aching for the author to have become such an awful hating terf. I will never enjoy reading HP to my own kids. That's really a loss. 😞

@kevinrns there are lots of copies sitting on peoples shelves, just borrow or buy 2nd hand. Lev Grossman's books "The Magicians" are much better books.
