LA City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto has a lot of nerve to attend a journalism event and tweet about it, while seeking a prior restraint against reporter Ben Camacho, who simply received and published photos Soto's own office gave him. Soto is also lobbying for public employee identities to be secret. Soto should do the right thing and drop the suit and stop the lobbying.

I wrote for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on the #ysl trial and the choice prosecutors made to make #YoungThug’s rap lyrics the central focus of a massive RICO trial. This brings racial bias into the courtroom and has dangerous free speech implications for everyone.

My heart is broken for Mauʻi. The island has been over-touristed and overdeveloped fr decades and that has a direct relationship to this fire. If you have ever visited #maui PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO THE RELIEF EFFORTS. And let's support orgs pushing for policies that consider Native Hawaiʻian and local communities, and a rebuild for safety and ecological sustainability.

Please join me in making a tax-deductible donation to the Maui Community Recovery Fund. http://mauicommunityrecoveryfund.org/

One observation about Logan Roy and the latest episode of #successsion.

(Spoilers in the photo—hope I did this right!)

Surprise surprise, Clarence Thomas’s billionaire sugar daddy also collects and displays Nazi memorabilia—including two of Hitler’s paintings. You can’t make this up!
So let me get this straight. A Supreme Court Justice accepts trips and gifts worth millions of dollars from a trustee of Washington’s leading conservative think tank that filed briefs at SCOTUS all the time, AND THE GIY GIVING THE GIFTS HAS GARDEN FULL OF STATUES OF DICTATORS IN HIS BACkYARD??? Let me guess he also has metal hands, an eye patch and a Persian cat in his arms?
