Alabama and Ohio want to set a precedent that you can ignore Supreme Court rulings?
Awesome. I’m all for it

Three Body Problem (Netflix)
https://youtu.be/5lj99Uz1d50 [https://youtu.be/5lj99Uz1d50] The Three Body Problem trailer for the new Netflix adaptation is out. I must say I am very skeptical of this one. This being one of my favorite books I have my doubts that they will do it justice. I’m sure it will be visually interesting and everything, but that’s not really the point. Especially not for book 1. I recently watched both the Tencent live adaptation as well as the animated adaptation of The Dark Forest and sometimes I feel like these books were better left on paper. "Oh," said the man proudly, "that is the instance I refuse to federate with."
Greg Abbott is a racist psycho. He is a shame to me, my country, and humanity. Any system that allows such a person to be an "authority" is corrupt.
The challenge faced by science in the United States isn’t that scientists are awkward and bad at communication. It’s that we’re beset by propaganda and mass media channels funded by corrupt billionaires to sow confusion.
We need big, generously funded communications channels dedicated to verifiable reality. Scientists who are slightly better at talking isn’t going to cut it.
