So I've started wearing a scarf around my hair in a style reminiscent of a hijab. I'm not Islamic so it's definitelynot a hijab. But in my small conservative town people are silently, but visibly scandalized.
I walked outside of my apartment this morning and the casual conversation between my neighbours and a few of the grounds keepers literally stopped dead.
