Possible naked-eye comet will visit Earth for 1st time since Neanderthals in 2023

The comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) could be bright enough to be spotted with the naked eye as it passes the sun and Earth at the end of the first month of 2023.

@vkc I'm remembering when I used to have to actually do this each year!
@unusual_whales They can't possibly be still letting him speak. That would be insane. But then they have Netenyahu and Van Jones together in that pic too, so I guess anything could happen. 🤷‍♀️
@Kristyace Ah, got it. That makes sense. Yeah, being evaluated on the fly I imagine is quite stressful. Knowing you'll always be able to collect yourself first has to be a big relief. Nice kids.
@CryptoBot it's such a human thing to do, but you're right. There are a few elements of human nature that are extremely problematic in the crypto space. This, plus also greed/FOMO, FUD, etc.
@godpod I think it depends on what you're calling blasphemy.
I mean, is this blasphemy: "God is dog spelled backwards."
@marcelias Good point, but I do want to note that it's important to also remember the power of Congress to regulate elections nationally, such as the Voting Rights Act. When it comes to fighting things like gerrymandering, I think it's been a mistake to take a court based approach. All they do (at best) is send the redistricting back to the same ppl who rigged it the 1st time, and they just do the same again, only slightly differently.
@Kristyace You mean because you're on social media? Otherwise, I don't get it.
@protean @freakazoid In this case, what happens? The instance you proposed be blocked continues being distributed?
@freakazoid @protean are you posing the question to @protean? I'm trying to understand what he was saying and how Mst handles server federation issues, but haven't myself come across anything problematic.
