I've tried using fonts that include "programming ligatures/glyphs" for a little while now but I don't think I'm ever going to like it. I want a monospace font to show me exactly how many characters there are, not hide them.
All power to those who enjoy them, I'm happy for you that they exist. But I also appreciate those typefaces that provide basic versions, because I otherwise love the fonts.
@JacksonBates I also hate keyboard shortcuts in the browser, no matter the application, and turn them off where I can. It's fine when it's a standalone app, but browsers have their own shortcuts.
The worst is when they override CTRL-F with their own find mechanism.
