maybe that's not how mastodon thinks about it though

on twitter i kinda post all over the place - hiking, knitting, queer stuff, video games, utter bullshit - and here it feels like a lot of instances cater to one of those things but then id be intruding/annoying with the rest?

instances/the fediverse make a lot of sense from a technical perspective but not much sense to me in terms of my identity/social circles/posting habits

if i move to a game dev instance am i committed to being a game dev forever

this is my sixth hat in just over six weeks and that's probably enough hats but what else am i going to do. knit scarves?? i think not
