@Npars01 @drewharwell @faizsays I’ll never understand how big oil and big business interests have convinced Americans that: less options = more freedom. I don’t understand how people can see having no choice but to drive absolutely everywhere, pay for gas, car maintenance, tolls, registration fees, and think that’s the ultimate freedom.

@mzedp it’s madness even in the 610 loop it’s not much better. I don’t know why the idea of walkability is so controversial here. The Heights recently approved pedestrian safety among just a few blocks around the bike trails, but they really had to fight for it and some people are still really angry they succeeded. I just don’t get it.

@evancarroll I’ll be fair that doesn’t seem so bad but some, like the ability to zero out an official’s salary seems like it could be weaponized. I’ll look into it more, but overall it’s striking the difference in influence and power between the different elements of our parties.
