@wsslmn Wauw! Ik heb op mijn 12e (begin jaren '80) mijn eerste camera aangeschaft en al die oude negatieven ingescand dus heb bijna een halve eeuw geschiedenis, maar niet vooroorlogse eenwielers!

@wsslmn Ugh mijn oude 2011 MacBook Air die ik aan mijn zus gegeven had deed het eerst nig maar nu niet meer, dus alle data weg. In de jaren '90 was mijn computer mijn ISDN-antwoordapparaat en daar stond nog een berichtje uit 1996 dat mijn nichtje geboren was op, ingesproken door mijn in 2007 overleden moeder...

@TechConnectify Hey Alec, I enjoy your christmas lights videos every year. But: is it time to look towards the present/future rather than the past this year? RGB LEDs can be programmed to be any color and saturation you like. I got some Nanoleaf string lights recently and although not perfect, I am really enjoying them. Fully programmable lights would be better of course but much more work.

@siracusa About your disappearing resized photos: I'm thinking Shortcuts unlinks the files but also keeps them open. Then, after some inactivity the app is killed so the files are closed and then they're deleted.

The third #TRON film in 43 years is coming up! The first two should be delivered as 4K UHD blu-ray any time now. I once worked on a software project where I named one process the "master control program". The business people just nodded, the nerds laughed behind their beards.

@atpfm I have a 2018 LG OLED TV and that one allows you to set up "quick access" to inputs, TV channels and/or apps by long pressing one of the number keys on the remote. Long press 0 to set this up. Do the newer models no longer support this?

@rmondello Does using passkeys still require iCloud syncing? That is a non-starter for me. (Or MacOS 26 in the first place, as they're effectively dumping Intel, even for my 2020 Mac Mini.)
