We live in the Fourth Age of Runts.

the logitech keyboard i'm using doesn't have a Break key, which i need for Kd's Ctrl+Break keybinding

the logitech keyboard has an interface that lets you configure actions for certain keys

this interface doesn't let you pick Break from a list, but lets you enter a shortcut...

... by pressing the keys you want

so i plugged in a second keyboard, with a Break key on it, and used that. it worked.

Do read this new investigatory piece on the web of money, AI companies, and shadowy “foundations” bankrolling the EU anti-encryption proposals. TL;DR this is the terrifying thing you get when you combine law enforcement, money and AI. https://balkaninsight.com/2023/09/25/who-benefits-inside-the-eus-fight-over-scanning-for-child-sex-content/
‘Who Benefits?’ Inside the EU’s Fight over Scanning for Child Sex Content

An investigation uncovers a web of influence in the powerful coalition aligned behind the European Commission’s proposal to scan for child sexual abuse material online, a proposal leading experts say puts rights at risk and will introduce new vulnerabilities by undermining encryption.

Okay, here's the Cohost version of the above thread, featuring the below diagram. https://cohost.org/mcc/post/2935303-unity-corporate-self

My takeaway from the diagram:
- Geepers, this is complicated! It's kinda hard to predict now if Unity is a good deal or not!
- If you are a small dev making between $200k and $2.5M, Unity is basically a bad deal compared to Unreal now. You have to be making either more or less than that for Unity to make sense finance-wise.
