Just a quick warning to those following me so far, I'll be migrating the account to an new handle, (Clastic Symphony) in time. I made this account during the first suggestion our mutual idoit was going to buy the birdsite. I've moved away from the idcalligraphic name since then.

So for this test, I decided to create a piece that used orange as the main colour seeing as its Autumn (or Fall as you in North America would say). I was originally trying an orange/green pallete but I felt having a single hue worked better.

I think I would get a better idea of the effectiveness of these designs once they are on some form of fabric. In particular when it comes to spacing and layout...

This pattern was really fun to do. First time I've properly combined my texture style with vector/illustration work, made these nice lily pad designs! Could imagine from frogs hoping around!

Fun fact, Bathgate is also home to the 'Sawtooth Ramps' by Patricia Leighton, which are more commonly known as the Pyramids. You might drive pass them if your on the M8.

Nearby is the Pyramid business park, I got my Covid jabs there. I think they were filming Good Omens there on that day as well.

Fun fact, I learned how to drive around Bathgate, took me three attempts and two instructors to get my driving license.

Also this piece was a pain in the butt to do. Spent two hours endlessly tweaking this one.
