8:30 and it’s 33° and 56% humidity. It’s going to be brutal on my bench today. I might even bailout at lunch.
I’ve now finished my last full year of work. Sometime in the next few months I’m retiring or at least winding back my workload. Then I intend to reintroduce my own creativity in my workshop and probably my online presence along with Grandad duties. There are great changes in the wind for me.

Just posted my 90yo mother onto the coach back to Toowoomba after an exhausting 24 hours to introduce her to her 7 week old great-granddaughter. Four generations and the ring-in son-in-law.

I’m staying in an Air BnB in Palmwoods tonight on the Sunshine Coast hinterland and I’m surprised by the traffic noise from the local roads —The old main road before the motorway was built. Compared to my inner city urban home West End in Brisbane which is totally quiet. Who would have thunk it that inner city would be quieter than the bush?
