We took our young lads to Lapland 11 years ago and arrived a day too late to see the Northern Lights unfortunately (though the holiday was great and recommended for young kids!)... last night, just around the corner from our hotel, we were more fortunate..... an amazing sight.. and they change so frequently.. icing on the cake for such a great day of sight seeing
The last stop on our Golden Circle tour was the result of volcanic eruption that then collapsed on itself creating a huge crater ~230m x 200m and 55m deep.. an impressive sight
6 weeks ago, my better half told me to book some holiday at work as she had a surprise for me.
This morning we headed to the airport, not having a clue where I was heading.
Then.... a fella bumps into me harshly... it's my best mate I've known since I was 13.... we've just landed at KEF to spend 4 days in Reykjavík.... my other half arranged it with Dave's wife 6 months agp. It's his 50th tomorrow. Soo good to have special people in my life!! 😃
It's certainly a big boy and weighs a fair bit!
The Lian Li O11D XL case makes it easier... though discovered one of the brand new power cables that came with my PSU was faulty.
2080ti will be moving over to my young lads box and replace his 2070 super.
I'm not a massive gamer, but do enjoy sim racing mostly, and need to dedicate some time to learn at least one plane in DCS... new upgrade time... a 5080 is on its way to replace my ageing 2080ti that's served me very well for the past 5 years.. hopefully a noticable upgrade.
Also hoping the new GTOmega Prime rig gets here soon as one part is on back order.. that'll be replacing my current Apex rig and can maybe also accommodate my HOTAS for DCS.. gotta enjoy some down time now and again!

I know some people don't like tailwind due to the number of classes it uses, but when you make reusable components, it's pretty cool.. so what better way to access the database than to build it right into the component that's using the data!
10 years ago, I was told that I should never have walked out of hospital after being diagnosed with a rare carcinoid tumour on my appendix and undergoing a large op and 6 months of chemo. Today, my youngest turned 14 and tomorrow, we're off to Silverstone circuit for their 'Lap of Lights' evening to celebrate my 50th.
The biggest thing this taught me, was that tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Don't put off to tomorrow, something that can be done today and make that contact with family & friends! 😃
