My boss bullied me into trying out Claude Code, and after a few days of testing it out I finally realized what it reminds me of! It's basically a kind-of stupid, INCREDIBLY sycophantic junior dev. Give it incredibly detailed instructions and prior art, and it's pretty helpful. But as soon as you get more abstract or doing things that aren't patterned in the codebase, well...

My daughter received a #boardgame called “Ransom Notes” for her birthday in which you try to answer prompts using a small selection of magnetic word tiles. The setup is pretty heinous, but we’ve had some gems. Highly recommended; no one ever cares who “won” at the end, and people keep asking to play.

Our #guineapigs are normally oblong-shaped, but when they’re eating something they really like they tuck their back legs up under themselves and kind of fluff up all over. “Don’t mess with me. I’m eating.”

One of our #guineapigs has figured out that if she pushes to her hind legs while my daughter is carrying her, she can hide in my daughter’s hair. Of course, she can’t hide completely…

This is Coriander. She’s the youngest #guineapig in our little herd, and is the most active and curious. This was their first time playing outdoors, and the other pigs were squashed together in their hide until they heard Coriander munching and were tempted out themselves. Coriander loves to zoom around during playtime and has figured out that if she just ignores me as I clean around her, she’ll get the lion’s share of the fresh food while the others scamper for cover.

This is Lemon. She believes she is top #guineapig in our little herd of three. Don’t let that vacant stare fool you; behind those beady eyes lies a mind that is…well, even more vacant. She loves developing the cowlick on the top of her head by shoving things, and is the pig most often seen relaxing outside a hide (the better to spot humans who might be carrying treats). Her motto is: “why run when you can walk?” and she’s got the fat stores to back it up.

Found this on the chicken stock I bought this weekend. I’m…really unsure what to think about the fact that they felt it was necessary to print at all (much less in such an easy-to-spot location). 😅
