This one includes a fascinating fact. Walker and his wife wanted to spend "significant time in heavily Democratic areas to woo Black voters."

Staff tried to clue them in: sorry, that's not where your support is. His wife "even suggested her husband should be winning as much as 50 percent of the Black vote in Georgia!"

Delusion on this scale is almost poignant. They had no clue how he was being used.

I've got one week left of teaching Constitutional Law this semester and I'm all set to discuss equal protection as applied to women and the LGBTQ community but then the twice impeached former president decided that we should terminate the Constitution.

What a time to be teaching in this field... Oof.

If you have some self-control. If you behave like an adult. If you can critically assess what you read, see or hear. If you have decency. If you care about others. If you believe that everyone should seek their own happiness that does not hurt others

2. He gave info from Twitter to Matt Taibbi to spread right-wing talking points about Hunter Biden

3. Trump said those allegations were grounds to terminate the constitution

...simply to call it a "counter-investigation" is too credulous. House Republicans have not shown there is anything to investigate.

So let's try a rewrite. Instead of "the G.O.P. is planning its own counter-investigation" how about...

"McCarthy's letter was the latest sign that the G.O.P. is struggling to find any factual basis on which to investigate the Jan. 6 investigation."
