Was very surprised to see New Orleans based alt-country group The Lostines in the background of the new Tina Fey show Four Seasons. But then I really cracked the code!
That Lostines record was engineered in part by Sam Doores. Who also engineered the Nick Shoulders record seen on the edge of this screenshot.
And Doores' band The Deslondes toured with Spirit Family Reunion, the third LP in the shot!
I don't actually know Sam Doores but I might reach out to him anyway.
I don't live off this income, I can tolerate this. But this is the same department that processes legal advisors, coaches.... from what we can tell, the only way things have "functioned" is somebody has to go over there, grab somebody by the shoulders and shake them, and they'll slump over and do it.
How is this a functioning nationally-known university?
So I make some side income as a contract worker at a major New Orleans based university. You can easily guess which.
A while back I went months without a check. The person that hired me looked into it. The person that was processing those checks was moved to a different department and everything assigned to her was assigned to... *nobody*
New annual contract comes up. More months of nonpayment. We look into it again. It turns out they *never* found somebody to process even the new work!
