Join us (@andrewmiller, @aislingokane) at WISH on April 28 at #CHI2023! WISH brings together the HCI-Health community to discuss findings, methods, and approaches towards understanding and creating systems for health and wellbeing. See the website for calls, including submissions for research highlights and works-in-progress as well as a mentoring program. https://sites.uci.edu/wish2023/

Emerging scholars is an unusual 2-year program that provides intensive research and/or work experience with real impact, plus courses & mentoring. Emerging scholars are staff, not students, with a salary and full benefits. It's a stepping stone to different career paths: a PhD, government, nonprofits, or the private sector.

In the first cohort we recruited a computer scientist and artist; a data journalist; and a former intern in the Canadian Parliament. Profiled here: https://engineering.princeton.edu/news/2021/11/17/emerging-scholars-join-citps-community-tech-and-society-researchers
