Emerging Scholars in Information Policy - Center for Information Technology Policy

Center for Information Technology Policy

Emerging scholars is an unusual 2-year program that provides intensive research and/or work experience with real impact, plus courses & mentoring. Emerging scholars are staff, not students, with a salary and full benefits. It's a stepping stone to different career paths: a PhD, government, nonprofits, or the private sector.

In the first cohort we recruited a computer scientist and artist; a data journalist; and a former intern in the Canadian Parliament. Profiled here: https://engineering.princeton.edu/news/2021/11/17/emerging-scholars-join-citps-community-tech-and-society-researchers

Princeton Engineering - Emerging Scholars join CITP’s community of tech and society researchers

Three recent university graduates joined Princeton’s Center for Information Technology Policy this fall as the inaugural class of Emerging Scholars, a program aimed at helping people start careers that combine technology and public policy.

Princeton is a gorgeous small town to live in, but many of us also live in NYC, Philadelphia, or other nearby areas. I'd be happy to answer any questions about any of our positions.
