Hmm. I was coming on here to apologise for basically abandoning this account for bsky, but seems my home feed won't load so I don't feel too bad about choosing a different SM platform #MastodonDown ?
anyway, until I decide who I am and where here’s another #NoodleTuesday ! Tom yam/yum is a big fav in this house now. Really simple, hot sour soup, jazzed up with a bit of veg. Straight down the line, better than I was expecting from a basic pack 3/5
Ok I’m definitely finding it hard to spread myself across three platforms, and bsky feels a bit more natural for me, but maybe I haven’t given mastodon enough time? Or maybe it’s time to differentiate and have one that’s just professional (tbh that should be twitter as it’s my biggest audience). But where to put #NoodleTuesday and #GardenFlowers posts then?
this week has been absolute trash, in part because of people totally misreading things on twitter, so I'm choosing to see it falling into chaos as karma for making me cry in the office this week. Onwards. upwards (I"m also on bsky)
#NoodleTuesday I had to google instructions for these after translating all the text on the packaging showed there were no instructions. Usually 600ml noodles turn out too wet but these sucked the water up and thickened the sauce really nicely. Good savoury depth, slightly less keen on the dehydrated veg 4/5
Saw that the puya alpestris were blooming at the botanical gardens and immediately made plans to go this morning!! The color looks unreal, but these are unedited phone photos. I am very excited to see how the photos I took with my camera turned out. I don't think I've ever seen any other teal flowers, although I'd love to hear about them if they exist! #florespondence #bloomscrolling
I’ve been slacking at cross posting my #NoodleTuesday adventures, but today’s dinner was a nice change - I do miss the spice but strong sesame garlic is a good alternative 4/5

though it's been said before many times many ways

respect the fucking humanities and "soft" sciences and feminized domains of knowledge because we need them desperately, society is drowning

And that’s a wrap for this season of #NoodleTuesdays - stepping into summer 2023 next week. Saved the dullest one until last it seems: noodles too thin and soft, soup too salty. Onwards and upwards 2/5
#NoodleTuesday - I just got delivery of the next season (summer 2023) of noodles@so we are down the the few pockets that looked least inspiring. These are actually pretty good though - the dried veg rehydrated to actually have texture, the noodles were chewy and the stock had just enough spice to cut through the hyfever fog. 3.5/5
