My latest - the trend of cord-cutting continues as OTT platforms like Hulu and Amazon Prime grow in popularity, leading to a decline in wired TV subscriptions

I’m about to dive into The Asylum: Case Studies podcast. There was so much wild talk in Hollywood about the unorthodox ways they make movies.
Not sure if I should start with their episode on Battle Star Wars or Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies. 😂😂🤣
The disclaimer at the head of Fellini’s 1973 release Amarcord describes the detail taken to preserve the movie and bring it forward to 4K.
The new detail from its new color treatment is wild.
The movie mocked fascist governments which ruled Western Europe from the 1930s to as long as Portugal 1974.
Performers move fluidly behind and in front of the 4th wall to drop the characters’ interpretation of life directly on you.
Got a chuckle out of this one, and earned a follow
After leaving filmmaking to become owner of a high end German restaurant, that was shut down unceremoniously at the start of the pandemic, the legendary Uwe Boll is getting back into making movies.
While three of Boll’s movies sit in the IMDb Bottom 100 lowest rated movies of all time, they actually make money. A colleague of mine was kept employed just handling Boll’s film sales around the world. And he’s now looking for investors.
Some journalists are having a visceral reaction to all of this. They hate the idea of losing Twitter, RSS is unidirectional, Mastodon is “difficult” and “slow” they say - it upholds being “nice” instead of humanly gritty etc
Some may characterize Twitter as a “flat” platform on which anyone could participate, but it wasn’t really. It’s a centralized platform, with reach limitations. For journalists it was/is a rich source of users from whom they could source thought and information for stories.
