All good drones get headpats. The best ones are from the Mxtress themself

@dragonarchitect @GordonFawks @johnnygear That is pretty much what I'm thinking! Thank you for summarising that neatly. This is still a fantastic instance, it's just about embracing the mind control aspect specifically.
@GordonFawks It's less that I feel like it wouldn't be allowed (it would probably be fine) and more just being on an instance specific for this niche! I didn't mean to make a mountain out of a molehill though, does seem there is a group consensus that it would honestly be okay.
@TrinCyboid It's entirely possible that because I joined when it was still fairly new the only people I could follow were non-kink people

@2swu35 Mastodon does bring with it a bit of a worry that if I'm not posting to the specifications of the federated instance I'm on, that I'd then be stepping on people's toes.

That might be unfounded, but I also don't see the harm in moving to an instance which is more tailored for exactly what I'd want to do.

@2swu35 Oh I should have clarified, I don't actually mean content behind the paywall. I'm so rooted on Patreon/Fansly that I can also make newsletters and more custom content for them to post publicly, and treat them as a blog. With the tremors in the social media landscape, it would be nice to have a couple sites I can feel a bit stable on.

On the topic of social media:

I've crossed off Tumblr, Reddit and Cohost as potential sites to get invested in.

Bluesky has potential (and significant flaws) but also it just doesn't have any kink weirdness to make it feel like home.

Instagram is just a place to dump photos. Twitter is somewhat tainted now (though still important for me to post there).

So I'm hoping Mastodon can be the place to actually do the 'social' part of social media.

Gonna invest more time in the paid sites too!

I still plan on using Mastodon, but I think I'll be changing instances. Rubber social has been perfect for posting my photography but I want somewhere I can also feel comfy posting my usual hypnosis shitposts too.

I'll figure out where and properly migrate across soon.
