Though I try to apply my design thinking to the branding of projects/orgs that I’m directly involved with, it’s *never* my only task. Sometimes timeframes get REALLY protracted.

For example, refining the Gamma Space Logo to reflect the energy of the community has taken me *years* to find the time to put my thoughts into action.

I’m much happier with the result, though.

Spent some time this morning after a stressful situation noodling with Terrifying Jellyfish’s NOUR.

Been waiting for this game from when I was first scouting for short-form VR content years ago. So glad more people can play it now.

Got this email spam and I thought I was getting Burial's assurance of good tunes from that Globe Life.

The album had been charged with an angsty, yet poetic, energy that was driven by a restrained chaos unlike anything else at the time. Seeing them tour in support of the album made it clear that they were magic.

Band leader Brad Laner had said over the years that the version that we heard of the album wasn't the intended one (for various true and self-deprecating reasons). Imagine my surprise when I discovered he self-released that version and, well, I'm having my mind blown all over again.

Medicine - Her Highness #vinyl

Many got their first taste of Medicine from the band appearance in Brandon Lee's final film, The Crow, but I had been a listener since 1993's The Buried Life.

They were noisy, shoe-gazey, and even a little bit industrial sounding at times. Her Highness, was something else.

Took Bosley to dog swimming day for the last day our nearby public pool was open.

He dove. He was hoisted. He fell in. He was hoisted. He ran around with new dog friends.

Folks were impressed with the antics of this nine-month-old good boy. He had a good time.

When my daughter was 6yo, she figured out that thing where you sneakily stick a note on someone’s back.

But she didn’t know the notes should say things like “kick me.” Instead, she would put space facts on them. She was really into outer space at the time.

One time I felt something on my back, then heard her run off giggling. I reached around, peeled off the little post-it, and found this:
