What's wrong with Misskey? I've been trying Calckey and having a blast; though the UI is slow on mobile and, well, could be a bit better overall.
Also, what do you mean with "making it harder to rebrand it"? Like, more difficult to remove their marks from the software? O.o
@T0xF01AE @koyu Yeah. I get the point of having a default, as I was entirely paralysed from choice. I eventually joined Koyu.space on a recommendation from a friend (and the theme just looks great :3).
*Deciding* on a server can feel very daunting, but maybe they could, idk, present a list and still have mastodon.social there? Maybe even as default?
Hey @koyu, sorry to bother, but is stop.voring.me (a Calckey instance) blocked from our side? We seem to be having trouble federating with them, but I don't see their URL in your list of moderated instances, and I don't think they're blocking us, either (though I can't be sure).
I can't find any new profiles from there, but I *can* see posts from their admin, ThatOneCalculator, whom I was following from before these issues appeared; but I can't reply to him or see any replies (except if he replies to the replies).
Meanwhile, from their side (I created an account there too), I can find my koyu.space profile, but I can't follow (only request to follow, which goes nowhere); posts from koyu.space show up only if someone boosts or replies to them.
