8am-3pm: Work, meetings, you know the drill.
3pm to 8.30pm: Did a leather workshop with an Italian leather artisan in Sicily.

The artisanal practice of leather is waning - in terms of desire to make a living out of it - due to factors like consumerism, fast fashion, status worshipping, and logo obsession. But I am so inspired by his dedication and in wanting to teach others. Not only that, but we have now greater flexibility in coming up with ways to live our life.

Nice long weekend - bought some black summer truffles at a truffle festival in this village in #Sicily.

Took a break from work due to a VDI issue and because of load shedding (planned power cuts) went out to an antique store and café.

I was thinking 🤔 of staying in but decided to head out. Glad I went out because I got to see baboons.

In South Africa they get city workers to stop by with paintball guns.

It's been great waking up to and working with this view in #CapeTown - watching the waves roll in, a cheeky bird or three, even paragliders

Imagine this: finishing a work day with #braai at Maiden's Cove with new friends, convincing the park attendant to let us stay an hour extra after closing time, then appreciating the sunset at Camps Bay. Also seeing a seal lazily sleeping in the sun!

Was walking along the beach in #Mahajanga #Madagascar when I spotted a chameleon!

On our way to #Mahajanga for #hackerbeach

There was a chameleon next to us and as I approached it, it flattened out and turned into a branch.

It's St Mary's (St. Maryam) Day today and we chose the day to visit a museum next to the St. Maryam Church.

Which meant surprise visit through a LOT of pilgrims outside the Entoto St. Maryam Church (no photos taken)
