He offloaded his remaining personal debt (after his TSLA liquidations the past couple weeks) to Qataris, who will now have complete control over data and decisions at Twitter.
Guessing the Tesla board sent him a message while he was in Qatar hanging with his handlers...
He finally got his European legal team's texts, I guess.
Chuck Grassley, once he retires next year to gift his seat to his nephew, should be put in charge of Twitter. He's the only guy who both understands how to use the platform and yet would be incapable of being cogent enough to abuse leadership of the platform. A benevolent ghost.
Selective enforcement is, of course, a main component of the ruling strategy in authoritarian systems which still need (for whatever reason, in whatever context) to have the legalistic fig leaf of justice and ethics:

Twitter is just everyone getting hired...for no wage whatsoever, by Twitter itself...to give a talk for Twitter! That is the very essence of free speech and the public square (and, uh, Section 230's protections for websites not acting as publishers???). Wait...
