Currently dealing with my first serious DDoS attack on a client website and oh man, Iā€™m out of options. Enabled ā€œUnter Attackā€ mode on Cloudflare, blocking all the countries where most of the spam requests originate, blocking request patterns that are easy to identify. Meanwhile Iā€™m optimizing the site and adding a full-page cache to increase server responsiveness for when the attack eventually subsides. Otherwise weā€™re essentially just waiting it out, what a waste of time and energy. Sigh.
