finally got Bluetooth to work on my desktop (i.e. too-broken-to-move-around laptop), which makes it quite practical to play music at home (the loudspeakers are in the other room), so I set out to find a music player I actually enjoy using. After giving various "good" old GUI options a second chance and testing a bunch of (worse) new ones, I stumbled upon #kew (https://codeberg.org/ravachol/kew). My mind is blown. Gotta learn some TUI library asap.

today I tried to adapt my custom dependency tree (pre)viewer to some new use cases. Of course, "tried" implies that I failed, but seeing the output of one of its previous iterations on an actual printed book kind of keeps me somewhat motivated me to continue tomorrow

(digital edition of the book, freely available for anyone curious: https://hdl.handle.net/10062/117442)

OMG my photographs are next to the Roberts'!
Quite literally standing on the shoulders of giants, or at least on their backs.
(funny enough, I am writing this from a train in the Sicilian countryside and internet became unavailable right when I tried to post)

we don't need no Code extension
we don't need no Code at all

- long story short: with just a tiny bit of hacking, I got a pre-existing extension available on Visual Studio Codium to act as a CoNLL-U previewer
