I'm in California so it's easy to forget that it can get cold. I love the idea of a popup roof. I've seen 12v heat pumps for truckers that would be perfect for AC and heating especially on solar.

I really need to think about setting up a real firewall at my house I'm going to be running a lot of network cable this summer for POE cameras and that might be a good time to install it.
