@phlash no not offended at all, I felt dirty writing that code! Unfortunately it seems that Oracle/openjdk are making it harder each release to make this work.

@phlash I just happened to come across your project, I had to laugh when I clicked the “horrid”link to find my hack. I think I’ve unlocked some sort of life achievement 😀. Anyway interesting idea, I’ve been curious how much of swing could be abstracted away for different implementations.
