M. Night will never make a movie this good again.

Many of the conservatives who are pushing hardest for book bans in public schools homeschool their kids or send them to private schools.

They still push for this because destruction of public schools as an engine of egalitarianism, democracy and social mobility serves their larger ideological goals of having an unequal society with "good people" like them at the top, served by exploited and ignorant poor underneath.

Marcel the Shell was far better than it had any right to be. It actually took this cutesy little premise and said something with it. great shit
That said I've seen other people complain about it and it's pretty plain it's jumped the shark. Gotta put it in the Hallelujah/Requiem bin and only use it as a joke from here on out.
And my complaint about On the Nature of Daylight isn't entirely fair. Yes, I rolled my eyes and it took me out of the episode for a moment, but I'm not normal. I'm sure most people didn't notice and it was beautiful and sad. There is a reason it's so widely used.

This and the On The Nature Of Daylight drop are my only complaints about the episode. They even toned down the unnecessary video game logic, though it's my understanding the Bill/Frank story was very different in the game, so maybe that's why. Beautiful episode of TV
