This is a dormant account. I left in January 2019. I won't follow you back or reply to you from this account.

You can find me at @griffinkate.

My website for work stuff is www.kategriffin.info

I'm a Python/Django web dev
I play field hockey and watch many sports
I've GMed a few times (Tales from the Loop and Mouse Guard) but never been a player in a pen and paper RPG
I paint a Stormcast Eternals army for Age of Sigmar, with an increasing number of conversions, and sometimes write custom battleplans and rules
I make silly jokes
I've mostly grown out of my youthful pedantry
If anyone's still following me on here: I've now moved to sunbeam.city, so I'm @griffinkate.

In case anybody missed it: I've moved to Kitty.Town and won't be posting on this account any more. You can find me at [email protected].

I've automatically re-followed all the people I'm following on Mastodon.Social, but if you were somehow missed out of the automated process, let me know and I'll manually re-follow you.

I've moved Mastodon instances! You can now find me at [email protected] (I hope).
So is anyone else Welsh in Gender Identity ;)?
"You've been chosen," the spirit said.
"What?"
"Save the world, make it kinder, cleaner, safer."
"Me?"
"Yes."
"Alone?"
"We chose everyone."

I just got a calendar reminder that I set months ago. It was about a bit of boring paperwork, but the explanatory notes were so clear and helpful, I feel as if my past self is actively looking after present-me. I hope that doesn't sound pretentious, because it genuinely cheered me up so much.
There are many evangelists for open source but not that many for software freedom. We're now in a time where the software freedom issues are really becoming obvious to the average person although they may not be consciously aware of them and may just think that their software is always bad and trying to trick them in one way or another or is doing things they don't want or havn't consented to.

My GP told me today there's some stuff that's like ibuprofen but better, but she can't prescribe it because there's a global shortage that won't end until February.

I never thought there was any crossover between "stuff GPs say" and "stuff stoned guys at parties say" but I guess imaginary-sounding medication is the sweet spot.
