But the risk profile wrt malware is not the same.
It is interesting that a huge natural experiment has been set up. What does privacy and security look like for US iOS vs EU iOS in a year or two?
@corbin @jamiemccarthy @stroughtonsmith Yes, but an iPhone isn't a Mac. It generally has access to more sensitive data (e.g., health data), is with you more often and in more intimate situations (e.g., in the bedroom or bathroom), and had a much larger and generally less-sophisticated user base.
Also the payments don't have go "go through Apple" under these new EU rules, not sure what you mean there.
