About me: I'm a multiply-disabled 46 yr old autistic AFAB lady. I'd not wish my life on my worst enemy, I'm not that cruel. Perpetually poverish (you can blame American social services for that disaster). I am terrified of people I cant run away from.

I try to be kind, for kindness is something I want to see in others.

@GreenRoc I finished following everyone who wasnt locked.

Now begins my topic separation between my two accounts. I like not having to log out and back in again. I am logged into both at once! Hurrah!
Gentler, cleaner stuff will exist here on my disabled account.

Having two accounts has somehow relieved some discomfort I have had with posting on disabled social... I can keep separate my topics so the gentler, less harsh stuff can exist here on this profile, while the more dark deep, intense stuff over in that newer account (and I can follow Falco there, hurrah!)

@AnarchoNinaWrites No worries, the haters unknowingly help teach me how to ignore them.

Thank you for being you. Keep going, I wish more people were like you with your thoughts as you have shown. Very encouraging to me.

Alt-text is really a big cultural differentiator for Mastodon. Twitter has it, but it's pretty rare to see people use it. Threads doesn't have it at all! And with regards to scicomm specifically, it's a perfect example of how accessibility improves the experience for everyone. I can break down a dense, hard to understand figure that people with vision would still find confusing. To me, alt-text is a non-negotiable requirement of good science communication.
Ok everyone, I am gonna try an re-establish my stuff over at a new profile.
@GreenRoc

Ok I am confused again. I have created a new account at mastodon.social and I still cant follow @falcoskywolf

I feel there is something I am not understanding about how Mastodon works, something that is directly impacting my inability to follow one of my favorite peoples.

@AnarchoNinaWrites My 'server'? has so many rules, I think I need to make a new account, I'm afraid I'd break rules if I boosted.
Also because... at least two of some of my favorite Twitter people are... in servers I am unable to fully interact with. One of which I cant see unless I'm logged out, the other I'm unable to see any images or emojis.
I think I may go figure out how to make another mastodon account. I dont feel comfortable boosting certain posts I'd 'like' in a heartbeat... posts which maybe offensive to some which may (maybe? There's so many rules I cannot remember them all) possibly violate the rules of disabled .social
